Maggio Musicale is an organ festival, created and introduced in 2015 by the Accademia Organistica Tergestina with the aim of promoting the local instrumental heritage.

Originally a travelling festival which stopped in various churches of Trieste, in recent years this event has been hosted by the Church of “Madonna del Mare”, home of a splendid 1967 Mascioni Organ (recently restored and expanded).

This concert series takes place during the Marian month (May) and whilst the organ does indeed take centre stage, the series’ program is often enriched by the participation of various instrumental and choral ensembles.
