The Accademia Organistica Tergestina (Trieste Organ Academy) was founded in 2013 by a group of music lovers particularly devoted to organ repertoire.

The Accademia uses a variety of means to promote organ literature and culture. Since its foundation it has organised several high-profile music festivals and other cultural events, including masterclasses for organists from beginner to advanced, debates and conferences, student members’ concerts and showcases. The AOS also regularly host guided organ tours, in the local churches, which are mainly aimed to organ students but open to all.

The Accademia seeks to co-operate with national and international organisations to promote cultural exchange.
